NEARR remains committed to supporting counselors and students. Our members are eager to help serve the needs of your school / organization.
Our members look forward to educating students on the college search process and providing them with information on post-secondary opportunities outside of New England. If you would like to request the participation of NEARR members at an upcoming event, please click the button below.
Please provide two weeks’ notice when submitting an event request. We cannot guarantee participation, but NEARR will circulate your event request if received by the 10th of each month.
You can expect confirmation and communication to follow from our Counselor Relations Chair.
We offer many workshop opportunities covering different parts of the application process. Some examples include:

Offer your students (and their parents) the opportunity to participate in a mock admissions review. We will present 3-4 sample college applications to the audience. Our NEARR members will lead a discussion on what an admissions office is looking for while reviewing an applicant. NEARR has case studies available for your use - click the 'Case Studies' title above to view them!
NEARR members are always happy to volunteer to sit on panel presentations to offer the opportunity to students and parents to hear about the college admissions process from the perspective of admissions counselors.
Expose your students to a variety of colleges and universities outside of New England through a mini college fair. Mini fairs can take place during school hours or in the evening.
