Who Qualifies?

Members of NEARR are admissions representatives from universities and colleges (domestic and international) who live in New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont) and whose recruitment territory includes the New England area.

Membership requirements

  1. Admissions must be the member’s primary profession.
  2. Member’s residence must be in New England.
  3. Member’s recruitment territory must include at least one of the New England states.
  4. Member’s institution must be located outside of New England.
  5. Members or their institutions must be members of either the New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC) or the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).

Membership Levels

Primary Member

Each participating institution’s initial member will have primary membership. Primary members receive full member benefits including, but not limited to, listing in organizational publications, invitation to participate in counselor events, and access to college fair lists.

Secondary Member

May be added by a college/university that has more than one regional representative covering New England, once the Primary member requirement is satisfied. Secondary members receive full member benefits.

Associate Member

New England regional representatives not living in one of the New England states. Associate members receive full member benefits.
